Privacy Policy

ShieldWave is a home Wi-Fi security product operated by Clariva LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what ShieldWave collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We built ShieldWave to protect your home, so we collect as little as possible and never sell your data.
What ShieldWave does
The ShieldWave sensor sits in your home and listens only — it analyzes nearby Wi-Fi signals to detect attacks (such as forced-disconnect floods) and, in a later version, radio jamming. It never transmits, jams, or interferes with any network.
What we collect
- Account information: when you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from your Google account to create and secure your ShieldWave account.
- Attack events: when the sensor detects a possible attack, it records technical details — the attack type, the time, the Wi-Fi band and channel, the targeted router's network identifier (BSSID), and a signal reading. It does not capture the contents of your messages, files, or browsing.
- Sensor status: a periodic "heartbeat" so the app can show whether your sensor is online.
- Alert contacts (optional): if you add people to be alerted, we store the name, email, and phone number you enter, along with which channels (email, text, call) you chose for each. This is stored under your account so alerts can be sent.
- Alert location (optional): if you enter a home address to include in alerts, we store that address under your account.
What we do NOT collect
- No financial information (income, bank, or card data).
- No browsing history, message contents, or the data flowing over your network.
- No continuous location tracking (only the optional home address you choose to enter).
- We never sell your personal information to anyone.
How we use it
Your data is used only to detect attacks, show them to you in the app, send the alerts you set up, and keep your account secure. That's it.
Where it's stored
Data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) and is scoped to your authenticated account, so only you can read your sensors' events, status, and contacts. To deliver alerts we use trusted service providers: Google (Firebase, Workspace email), Expo (push notifications), Pushover (push notifications), and Twilio (text messages and calls, when enabled). These providers process the alert only to deliver it.
Your choices and control
- You can view and delete your alert contacts and alert location in the app at any time.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us.
- You control who is on your alert list; please add people only with their consent.
Children and families
ShieldWave is intended for families and users aged 13 and older; a parent or guardian should set up and manage the account for younger household members. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
